PS2
Network Adapter
The Network Adapter connects to the expansion bay on the back on the console. It can be connected directly, via a router, or via an internet sharing connection. The PS2 network's servers are optimised for gaming and therefore standard Internet browsing is not supported. Some titles and services may require a subscription for use.

SOCOM:
US Navy Seals
Even though every British schoolboy knows the SAS are the hardest Special Forces group in the world, market economics dictate that SOCOM allows you to fill only the designer camouflage suits of their US counterparts. The game is a squad-based solider simulator in the vein of Rainbow Six, although because it's been designed specifically for the PS2 it works a lot better than any other similar game with a simple-to-use control interface and excellent graphics.
Unfortunately, where the game doesn't break tradition with other similar titles is in the AI, which is fairly naff and means friendly fire is far more likely to kill you and your team-mates than anything the enemy might do. Of course playing the game online with up to 15 of your friends makes this far less of a problem and is where the game really shines.
The SOCOM package comes complete with a free headset that plugs into your PS2 and lets you hear and talk to anyone you're playing with or against online. However, to actually get online you'll need a Network Adaptor, which is sold separately, and a broadband Internet connection. Getting everything working online is nice and easy though, thanks to the various deals Sony has made with the UK's biggest broadband providers, and you'll be online zapping terrorists, friends and family in no time at all

Medal
of Honor Rising Sun
Armed with his wits and a variety of authentic weapons, it's up to players to stop the Japanese war machine in its tracks. Players can even team up with a friend in the all-new co-op multi-player mode to battle the Japanese forces. Along the way, players will earn awards and medals for their meritorious service in defeating the enemy.
As with the original Medal of Honor, the producers sought council from numerous outside sources to make certain the game is as historically authentic and realistic as possible. Captain Dale Dye, who served as military technical advisor on the previous titles in the Medal of Honor franchise, continues his efforts with the Medal of Honor Rising Sun team to ensure the authenticity of the game.
Destruction
Derby Arena
Throughout three explosive PSone titles, Destruction Derby strapped you into powerful cars and encouraged you to dash and smash your way to the chequered flag. At long last, the PS2 offspring rumbles out of the pits and as well as being a highly polished, purring powerhouse of stock-car action, you can take on the world thanks to the online multiplayer option. DDA is the WWE of racing games with over-the-top drivers, muscle-bound motors and insane tracks. Race to the finish or smash the opposition to pieces, but whichever you choose you can kiss goodbye to your No Claims Bonus.

Hardware:
Online Arena
The network gaming phenomenon just got a darn sight bigger thanks to the tank-busting action of Hardware: Online Arena. Climb into a lumbering, modern-day battle tank or nippy, heavily armed buggy and enter an arena of mass destruction in a heavy metal deathmatch. Thanks to the PS2 Network Adaptor you can challenge other would-be Rommels to combat across many expansive arenas. Blast the other players with a devastating array of weaponry--and don't worry if you're blasted yourself, you'll always respawn in a new shiny vehicle ready to fight again.
